The Ukrainian Final was held on March 11th at the NTU TV Studios in Kiev, hosted by Maria Orlova & Igor Posypaiko. The 3 finalists of a „Pop Idol“ style contest each performed a potential ESC entry. The winner was chosen by televoting (50%) and an „expert“ jury (50%) – Tina Karol was the favourite of both.

Tina Karol previously took part in the 2005 Ukrainian Semi-Finals as Tetyana Liberman. At the ESC she came 7th performing a revamped version of the song called „Show me your love“.
