Before the final there was a semi-final, broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on February 1st, hosted by Terry Wogan & Ken Bruce. The top 4 songs were chosen by televoting. Although Zee initially qualified for the final, she was subsequently disqualified because „Never in a million years“ was released in Hungary during 2001. Consequently, Level Best who came 5th in the semi-final replaced her.
