The UK Final was held on March 15th at the BBC TV Studios in London, hosted by Terry Wogan. Before the final there was a semi-final held on Radio 2 on February 6th to reduce the original 8 songs down to 4 finalists. Televoting was used in both the semi-final and final. The 4 eliminated songs after the semi-final were: „Give it up“ – Lisa Millet, „When we were in love“ – Mandy Wilson, „Wish you were here“ – Anita Madigan and „Suddenly“ – Farrell Lennon.
