The Swedish Final was held at Malmö Musikteater on February 24th, hosted by Pernilla Månsson. The winner was chosen by 11 regional juries in two rounds of voting – the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

Jan Johansen came 3rd at the ESC. Arvingarna represented Sweden at ESC 1993. (Simon) Ådahl was a member of the group ‚Edin-Ådahl‘ that represented Sweden at ESC 1990. Amongst his backing singers was Frank Ådahl who also represented Sweden at ESC 1990.
