The Spanish Final was held on February 12th-14th at the Palacio Nacional de Montjuich in Barcelona, hosted by Laurita Valenzuela & Joaquín Prat. Before the final there was a semi-final . Each of the songs was performed twice (by different performers). The winner was chosen by the votes of 15 regional juries.

Julio Iglesias sang the winning song at the ESC and came equal 4th. Los Valldemosa were backing singers for Spain in the 1969 ESC.
