The Slovene Final was held on February 27th at the RTVSLO TV studios in Ljubljana, hosted by Tajda Lecse. The winner was chosen by the votes of 12 regional juries.

1x Band came equal 22nd at the ESC. Miran Rudan was a backing singer for Italy in ESC 1990. Roberto Buljevic’s backing singers were ‚Pepel in Kri‘ who represented Yugoslavia in ESC 1975, and were backing singers for Italy in ESC 1990 (at which time Miran Rudan was a member of the group).
