The Romanian Final was held on March 5th at the TVR TV Studios in Bucharest, hosted by Laura Mihalus & Leonard Miron. The winner was chosen by televoting (1/3) and an „expert“ jury (2/3). Luminita won the televote while Loredana won the „expert“ jury vote.

Luminita Anghel previously took part in the 1994 Romanian Final, came 5th in 1996, 6th in 1998, 6th in 2000 and equal 5th in 2002. At the ESC, she came 3rd.
