The Semifinals
The Romanian Semi-Finals were held at the TVR TV Studios in Bucharest. The top 6 songs in each semi-final qualified for the final. The finalists were chosen by a mixture of televoting (50%) and an „expert“ jury (50%).

The Final
The Romanian Final was held on March 13th at the TVR TV Studios in Bucharest, hosted by Dan Teodorescu & Nicola who represented Romania in ESC 2000 & 2003 respectively. The winner was chosen by a mixture of televoting (50%) and an „expert“ jury (50%) – Sanda Ladosi was the favourite with both. The „expert“ jury result presented on TV for four of the singers (Shake, Andra, Elena Carstea & Alexandra Ungureanu) was incorrect – the corrected overall results appear below:

Sanda Ladosi previously came 3rd in the 1998 Romanian Final. At the ESC she was 18th.
