The Portuguese Semi-Finals were held at the Estúdios do Lumiar in Lisbon, hosted by Júlio Isidro. The winners were chosen by an „expert“ jury which included Adelaide Ferreira who represented Portugal in ESC 1985. „Chão de dança“ from Semi-Final 1 & „É à noite“ from Semi-Final 2 were both disqualified after their respective Semi-Finals.
