The Norwegian Final was held on February 28th at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Øystein Bache & Rune Gokstad. The winner was chosen by regional televoting and an „expert“ jury.

Lars A. Fredriksen came 8th at the ESC. Elisabeth Andreassen represented Sweden in ESC 1982 and Norway in 1985, 1994 & 1996.
