The Maltese Final was held on February 19th & 20th at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, hosted by Mariella Scerri & Joseph Chetcuti. The winner was chosen by an „expert“ jury.

Times Three came 15th at the ESC, where their backing singers were Moira Stafrace & Chris Scicluna who represented Malta in ESC 1994. Georgina and Paul Giordimaina represented Malta in ESC 1991. Georgina was also a backing singer for Malta in 1996.
