The Maltese Final was held on February 5th at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, hosted by Lucienne Selvagi & John Bundy. Before the final there was a semi-final. The winner was chosen by an „expert“ jury.

Moira Stafrace previously came 2nd in the 1992 Maltese Final, took part in the 1993 Maltese Final and was a backing singer for Malta in ESC 1993. Christopher Scicluna played the guitar for Malta in ESC 1993. At the ESC, they came 5th. Georgina represented Malta in ESC 1991 (along with Paul Giordimaina), Renato in 1975, Phylisienne Brincat was a backing singer for Malta in ESC 1993 and Ray Caruana was the lead singer of the group „Live Report“ who represented the UK in 1989.
The Semifinal
The Maltese Semi-Final was held on February 3rd & 4th at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, hosted by Stephanie Spiteri & Karl Bonaci. The finalists were chosen by an „expert“ jury.
