The Maltese Final was held on March 13th at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, hosted by John Demonuele & Marija Bugeja. Before the final there was a semi-final . The songs were performed firstly in Maltese, then in English, before the winner was chosen by an „expert“ jury. Only the top 3 were announced.

William Mangion came 8th at the ESC. Paul Giordimaina represented Malta in the 1991 ESC, while Renato did the same in 1975.
The Semifinals
The Maltese Semi-Final was held on March 11th & 12th at the International Conference Centre in Valletta, hosted by John Demonuele & Marija Bugeja. The songs were performed in Maltese on March 11th and English on March 12th. The finalists were chosen by an „expert“ jury.
