
The Latvian Final was held on February 1st at the Olympic Centre in Ventspils, hosted by Ilze Jaunalksne & Girts Licis. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting – the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

F.L.Y. were Martinš Freimanis, Lauris Reiniks & Yana Kay. Martinš previously came equal 4th in the 2001 Latvian Final & 3rd in 2002 as lead singer of the group Tumsa. Lauris Reiniks was 2nd in the 2001 Latvian Final and 5th in 2002. Yana Kay was 3rd & 6th in the 2000 Latvian Final and 7th in 2001. At the ESC, F.L.Y. came 24th.
