The Israeli Final was held on March 15th at the Nakdi TV Studios in Jerusalem, hosted by Yael Bar-Zohar & Eden Har’el. The winner was chosen by televoting (50%), 4 regional juries (40%) and the audience at the TV Studio (10%).

Eddie Butler previously represented Israel in ESC 1999 as a member of the group Eden. At the ESC he came 23rd. Aviva Avidan was a backing singer for Israel in ESC 1982 while Maya Avidan was a backing singer for Israel in ESC 2003.
