The Israeli Final was held on March 27th at the IBA Studios in Jerusalem, hosted by Rivka Michaeli. Yardena Arazi sang all the songs and the winner was chosen by 4 regional juries.

Yardena Arazi previously represented Israel in ESC 1976 in the group. She also came 2nd in the 1982 Israeli Final, 2nd in 1983 & 3rd in 1985. At the ESC she was 7th.
