
The Israeli Final was held at the Binyaney Ha’uma in Jerusalem on 27th January, hosted by Rivka Michaeli. The winning song was chosen by the votes of regional juries.

Milk & Honey were Gali Atari, Shmuel Bilu, Reuven Gvirtz and Yehuda Tamir – they went on to win the 1979 ESC. Gali Atari previously came 3rd in the 1978 Israeli Final.
