The Irish Final was held on March 3rd at the Point Theatre in Dublin, hosted by Pat Kenny. The winner was chosen by 10 regional juries.

Eimear Quinn went on to win the ESC. Rob Burke was a backing singer for Malta in ESC 1994, while Marion Fossett represented Ireland in 1981 in the group Sheeba.
