The Icelandic Final was held at the RUV TV Studios in Reykjavik on March 30th, hosted by Jónas R. Jónsson. All of the songs were presented as pre-recorded video clips and the winner was chosen by 8 regional juries.

Daniel came 22nd at the ESC. Jóhanna Linnet was accompanied on the piano by Sverrir Stormsker who represented Iceland at ESC 1988. One of the members of Mannakorn was Pálmi Gunnarsson who represented Iceland at ESC 1986 in the group Icy.
