The Finnish semi-finals were held at the Tohloppi Studios in Tampere, hosted by Heikki Paasonen & Jaana Pelkonen. The favourite song of each singer (chosen by televoting) qualified for the final.

The Final

The Finnish Final was held on March 10th at the Caribia Hall in Turku, hosted by Heikki Paasonen & Jaana Pelkonen. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting – the first to select the top 6 and the second to select the winner.

Lordi went on to win ESC 2006. Nina & Hanna Riikka were both backing singers for Finland in ESC 2005. Hanna-Riikka was also a backing singer for Finland in ESC 1996 & 2004. Safe Six included Gary Revel jr, Charles Salter & Annina Rubinstein. Gary was a backing singer for Finland in ESC 2002, Charles was a dancer for Finland in ESC 1994 & a backing singer for Finland in ESC 2005. Annina was a dancer for Finland in ESC 2004.
