
The Finnish Final was held on January 28th at the YLE TV Studios in Helsinki, hosted by Maria Valkama. The winner was chosen by postcard voting.

Ami Aspelund previously came 2nd, 5th & 6th in the 1982 Finnish Final. She also took part in the 1975 Finnish Semi-Final. At the ESC she was equal 11th.
