
The Finnish Final was held on February 11th at the YLE TV Studios in Tampere, hosted by Klaus Thomasson. The winner was chosen by 5 regional juries.

Seija Simola previously came 4th in the 1972 Finnish Final, 2nd in 1973 (in the group ‚Paradise‘), took part in the 1974 Finnish Semi-Finals & came 9th in 1977. At the ESC, she was equal 18th. One of the members of Mirumaru was Päivi Paunu who represented Finland in ESC 1972.
