The Danish Final was held on February 12th at Forum Horsens, hosted by Jarl Friis-Mikkelsen, Birthe Kjær & Annette Heick. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting – the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

Jakob Sveistrup came equal 9th at the ESC. Amongst his backing singers was Kenny Lübcke who represented Denmark in ESC 1992. Brødrene Olsen won the 2000 ESC. Amongst their backing singers was Kayo who represented Sweden in ESC 2002 as a member of Afro-Dite.
