The Cypriot Final was held on March 14th at the Monte Caputo Nightclub in Limassol, hosted by Yiorgos Theofanous & Evridiki who represented Cyprus in ESC 1992 & 1994. The winner was chosen by a jury of 20 people.

Alex Panayi previously came 3rd in the 1990 & 1993 Cypriot Finals. He was also a backing singer for Cyprus in ESC 1989 and 1991. At the ESC, he came 9th.
