The Semifinals
The Croatian Semi-Finals were held at the Crystal Ballroom of the Hotel Kvarner in Opatija. The top 8 songs in each semi-final, chosen by televoting (50%) & an „expert“ jury (50%) qualified for the final.

Marija Husar was a backing singer for Croatia in ESC 1994. Claudia Beni represented Croatia in ESC 2003.
The Final
The Croatian Final was held on March 4th at the Crystal Ballroom of the Hotel Kvarner in Opatija, hosted by Duško Curlic, Mirko Fodor, Emilija Kokic & Vesna Pisarovic. The winner was chosen by an „expert“ jury (50%) and televoting (50%).

Severina previously came 8th in the 2000 Croatian Final. At the ESC she was equal 12th. Magazin represented Croatia in ESC 1995 with a different lead singer. Danijela Martinovic represented Croatia in ESC 1995 (as lead singer of Magazin) and 1998.
