The Semfinals
The Belgian Semi-Finals were held at the VRT TV Studios in Schelle, hosted by Bart Peeters. The winner of each semi-final and the three highest scoring losers went forward to the final. The voting consisted of 5 juries – an „expert“ jury, Radio 2 jury, Radio Donna jury, a European jury and televoting (which counted for 1/3 of the overall vote while the other 4 juries counted for 1/6).

Nicole & Hugo represented Belgium in the 1973 ESC. They also won the 1971 Belgian Final but were unable to go to the ESC due to Nicole being ill.

Barbara Dex represented Belgium in the 1993 ESC. At the Eurovision, Xandee came equal 22nd.
