The Belgian Final was held on March 9th at the Knokke Casino, hosted by Alexandra Potvin & Michel Follet. Before the final, there were 4 semi-finals. The winner was chosen by a press jury, 5 regional juries and an „expert jury“. Lisa del Bo was the favourite with them all, except for the press who favoured En Zo.

Lisa del Bo previously came 3rd in the 1993 Belgian Final. At the ESC she was equal 16th, where one of her backing singers was Nadia. Patrick Alessi was a backing singer for Luxembourg in ESC 1983 & 1993.
