The Norwegian Final was held on February 25th at the Centralteatret in Oslo, hosted by Jan Voigt. Each of the songs were performed twice (by different performers) – once with a small band and once with an orchestra. The winning song was chosen by the votes of 10 regional juries.

Kirsti Sparboe previously represented Norway in ESC 1965 & took part in the 1966 Norwegian Final. At the ESC she was equal 14th.
