The Spanish Final was held on February 23rd at the TVE TV Studios in Madrid, hosted by Jennifer Rope & Sandra Morey. The winning song was chosen by an „expert“ jury (75%) and televoting (25%) – David Civera was the favourite with both.

Amongst the backing group for ‚Hi Priority‘ was José María Guzmán who represented Spain at ESC 1986 in the group Cadillac. David Civera came 6th at the ESC.
