The Latvian Final was held on February 24th at the LTV TV Studios in Riga, hosted by Horens Stalbe & Dita Torstere. The winner was chosen by 4 „expert“ juries (80%) and televoting (20%) – Marija Naumova won the televote.

Arnis Mednis previously came 5th in the 2000 Latvian Final. At the ESC he was equal 18th.
