The Norwegian Final was held on March 6th at Chateau Neuf in Oslo, hosted by Ingunn Kyrkjebø. The winner was chosen by 10 regional juries.

Silje Vige came 5th at the ESC. Tor Endresen was a backing singer for Norway in ESC 1988. Merethe Trøan represented Norway in ESC 1992, while Jahn Teigen did the same in 1978, 1982 & 1983.
