The Norwegian Final was held on March 20th at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Ivar Dyrhaug. Five of the 10 songs qualified through a series of semi-finals. Of the other songs, 4 came through an open contest, and Jahn Teigen’s song got automatic entry. The winner was chosen by 11 regional juries. Eigil Berg was in a car accident just before the final, so Frank Aleksandersen sang the song he was due to sing.
