
The Finnish Final was held on February 22nd at the YLE TV Studios in Helsinki, hosted by Tutteli Mensonen. The winner was chosen by 7 regional juries.

Monica Aspelund previously took part in the 1975 Finnish Semi-Finals & came 6th in the 1976 Finnish Final. At the ESC, she was 10th. Lasse Mårtenson represented Finland in ESC 1964 while Viktor Klimenko represented Finland in ESC 1965.
