The Norwegian Semi-Finals were held at the regional NRK TV centres, and broadcast on the radio only. The winner of each semi-final (chosen by postcard voting) qualified for the final, with the exception of the Eastern semi-final where the top 2 songs went forward to the final. The artists performing the songs in the semi-finals were often different from the ones who performed the songs in the final.
