The Belgian Final was held on March 1st at the Amerikaans Theater in Brussels, hosted by Staf Van Berendoncks. Before the final there were 7 heats. The winner was chosen by the votes of 5 regional juries.

Ann Christy previously took part in the 1970 Belgian Semi-Finals, came 2nd in the 1971 Belgian Final and 3rd & equal 4th in 1973. At the ESC she was 15th.
